How it works

You paste an offer, an email or a WhatsApp message. Keelvera reads it and gives you one of four answers: don't pay, don't pay yet, be careful, or no warning signs so far.

What we look at

  • Words and steps that fake offers use again and again, such as fees before you get the goods.
  • Whether the company, the email address and the website look real.
  • Whether the ship, the terminal and the documents check out.
  • Whether the price is close to the market.
  • Sanctions lists and reports of known scams.

We check official sources from around the globe. When we can't check something automatically, we tell you and show you how to check it yourself.

As the conversation goes on

Add the seller's replies and the answer updates. We draft polite replies that ask for exactly what is still missing.

What a good answer does not mean

"No warning signs" is not proof the deal is real. Only pay after the terminal, the inspector and the bank confirm directly to you.

For experts: how the score is calculated

Each finding has a weight: serious 40, warning 20, check this 10, minor 4. The total is capped at 100.

Any serious finding, or a total of 100, gives "Don't pay". 50 or more gives "Don't pay yet". 20 or more gives "Be careful". Lower totals give "No warning signs so far".

Results from the automatic checks are added to the findings from the offer text. The final answer is never milder than the offer text alone.

An AI second opinion can add findings. They are marked "AI" and can be wrong.
